What are the key features of the new platform for students?
  • The new platform will be easy to navigate and will house all student training records.
  • A public training transcript will be provided for every student to easily view and demonstrate training anywhere, anytime.
  • Students will be sent emails when training is about to expire so there is never a gap in their required equipment operator certification.
  • Students will be able to upload third-party training records to their account so their training transcript can serve as their single source of training history regardless of where courses were taken.
  • Instructors will be able to communicate with session students via the system in advance of training providing specific instructions as needed.
  • Training schedules will be posted across the USA and Canada so customers can easily find, register, and pay for training near them.
  • Our Spanish portal will make it easier for Spanish speaking students and customers to purchase and consume our Spanish library of courses.
  • A new wallet card will be introduced which will have a unique student id # and QR code that will be used to access a student’s training transcript.
  • This card will replace the need for students to carry multiple wallet cards for the courses they have completed.
Will customers be able to purchase training for their employees in the US English and Spanish portals?

Yes, company managers responsible for employee training can use their training account logon credentials to make purchases in both portals. However, separate transactions will need to be made for courses in each language in their respective portals.

Will students have the option to have equipment specific wallet cards if needed, especially for instances where there is no cell service or cell phones are not allowed on the jobsite?

Going forward, Sunbelt Rentals will be issuing their new wallet card only. If students need a hard copy of specific equipment certifications, they should scan the QR code or use the lookup feature on their wallet card to view and print their training transcript which has all the required information to demonstrate proper training and certification. They can also print their Certificate of Completion for each course.

Will customer historical training records be migrated into the new system?

All historical student completion records will all be deposited into a training archived database. Once the student registers for an account in the new system (required), their training records will be populated into their account and shown on their training transcript based on an email match and verification process for security purposes.

Will users need to register for a new account in the new platform?

Yes, accounts will not be migrated. This will allow Sunbelt Rentals to obtain current information for each student. If the student has historical completion records and uses the same email address as they used in the old system, their completion records will be shown in their new account.

Will users be sent reminder emails when historical training is about to expire?

Yes, system emails will be sent 90 days, 60 days, 30 days, and day of expiration to verified account holders who have training expiring.

What is the Corporate Account functionality in the new platform?

Corporate Accounts allow managers to create accounts for their employees, run reports on employee training, view student training progress, view dashboards, as well as register and purchase courses for employees. Once a seat in a session is purchased, the seat can be assigned to an existing student account or one the manager creates on behalf of their student. If the account is set up independently by the student, the manager will send an email to the student to accept the manager’s association to the corporate account. This process is for security purposes.

Are credit card purchases made in the system secure?

Yes, our purchase process complies with security rules in the USA and Canada.

Will credit card numbers be stored in the system for future use?

Sunbelt Rentals does not store credit cards in the system. Every time a purchase is made, the credit card information will need to be inputted by the user.

Do customers need to buy training using a credit card?

Yes, all courses will be sold via credit card. However, for classroom and live-virtual classroom training, we are allowing “walk-in students” for which payment will be taken at the Sunbelt branch at the time of the training. On account and PO purchase functionality will be introduced at a later date.

Will online customer credit card purchases be linked to their rental account account?

During the first phase of the new platform, there will be no association of the customer’s online credit card payment to their Wynne account. We will, however, allow for pay-at-the-branch for classroom walk-in students and virtual drop-in students that can be billed to their account. The credit card payment provides a guaranteed seat in a class while a walk-in student is not guaranteed a seat if the class has met is maximum capacity.

Is there a mobile App?

No. The new training platform is a web-based application accessible by any modern browser such as Chrome or Safari.

Are volume discounts provided?

Yes, we offer volume discounts with the purchase of 6 seats or more for most of our instructor-led courses.

Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in certain courses?

For our “Train the Trainer” courses, we require documentation of current operator status prior to enrollment and for select students that they take our online theory.

What kind of technical support will be available for users who may face issues with the platform?
