Rosa Jackson (Virginia)
As a veteran of the US Air Force, Rosa began her safety career as a Non-Destructive Inspector in 2003. In this role, she inspected multimillion dollar aircraft and weapon components for catastrophic failures and managed the Safety Program which included lock out/tag out, confined spaces, fall protection, technical management and more. Her leadership led to zero errors during yearly inspections. She also fast tracked to Trainer, which ensured high quality inspections by her team. Before she earned her Staff Sergeant stripes, Rosa was deployed overseas multiple times to lead non-destructive and joint oil analysis inspections for various military missions, ensuring safety for all souls on board. She separated from the Air Force honorably with medals of achievement for her dedication as a respected inspector and trainer.
After separating from the Air Force, Rosa earned a degree in Photography and Media which solidified her technical skills and a strong understanding of marketing, including conveying information in a creative manner.
Rosa joined Sunbelt Rentals in 2024 as an Equipment Rental Specialist and then transitioned to Safety Trainer in 2025. She is qualified to teach MEWP, forklift, and earthmoving operator certification courses in English and Spanish. She ensures that her trainees understand the capacities of heavy machinery in a manner that emphasizes the importance of an operator’s due diligence.
Originally from Texas, Rosa has made Virginia her home for almost 20 years, maintaining the ability to speak Spanish, including Spanglish. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, music, hiking, photography, and spending quality time with family. Rosa is a member of the American Legion and an advocate of Hispanic Heritage.
