Marco Gomez (DC/Maryland)   

Marco started his career in 2011 at an erosion control company gaining increasing levels of responsibility including foreman. Subsequently, he became a CDL driver for a construction materials company operating dump trucks and flatbeds. His career prior to joining Sunbelt culminated in a decade of working in diverse areas including erosion control, traffic control, asphalt work, sod laying, machine operations, and construction.  

Marco joined Sunbelt Rentals in 2021 at the Fredericksburg, Va branch as an equipment rental specialist. He was then promoted to senior equipment rental specialist and in 2025 became a Safety Trainer servicing DC and south Maryland. Marco is qualified to teach MEWP, forklift, and earthmoving equipment operator courses. 

After working in several different industries, each with their own standards, Marco experienced seeing many preventable injuries. Most were due to a lack of a safety culture in these companies. He found Sunbelt refreshing in this regard because as he says, “they take safety seriously” and he really wanted to be a part of that. Marco’s passion for safety and the knowledge of how to avoid preventable injuries makes him a compelling safety trainer.  

 
In his free time, Marco and his wife enjoy travel and trying different foods. When home, they enjoy playing online games with friends and binge-watching new shows and movies.
